Kakshya Principals and Transit

Kakshya is an important concept in Ashtakavarga and is specially applied for pin-point the result of transit of planets to a very narrow time period. Each sign received benefic influence from 8 sources, from slow moving planets to fast moving planets are as follows. Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon and Ascendant. Each kakshya is span of 30⁰/8= 3⁰45’. When a planet enters a sign, it first travels in Saturn kakshya, then Jupiter and so on.

Here we see that lord of kakshya is based on distance from the Earth. Longest distance is Saturn than Jupiter than Mars and so on.

Planets order are based on the speed. Slowest planet Saturn is taken first, then Jupiter and then Mars and continue.

When the planet transit enters in sign so it’s in Saturn Kakshya then Jupiter, mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon and Ascendant.

How Kakshya principle works:

When planet transit in Kakshya whose lord has bindu / points in that sign in his own Prastarashtaka varga than he will give good results even planet is malefic.

How to see the bindu / Point:

Here we will take the chart of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, in this chart we see that when Jupiter transiting in Aries sign having 2 bindu / points,

Mars and Lagna having one, one points. Same way when Jupiter passing Taurus having 3 bindu / points for Sun, Moon and Lagna. When Jupiter is passing by these kakshya Jupiter will give auspicious result.

 

Kakshya Application:

1.      when a planet transiting a sign having bindu in its own Prastarashtaka varga the auspicious result to the house to that sign in that kakshya.

 

Example: When Jupiter is transiting over Sagittarius and it has 6 point in Sagittarius in its own Bhinnashtakavarga which is corresponding to the 4^th house of the native, then native may be auspicious result transiting Jupiter over Sagittarius.

 

the example chart of President J F Kennedy. He was elected president and move into the White House on 5 Nov 1960 when Jupiter was transiting over Sagittarius which is his 4^th house having 6 point. In the Prastarashtaka varga having points in Saturn, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury, Moon and Ascendant. So, when Jupiter passing all these kakshya will provide auspicious result.

 

2.      The auspicious time found in chart when planet traveling in the Kakshya. If the kakshya lord having more points in the Bhinnashtakavarga of that planet in that sign, then the auspicious result of that house corresponding to that sign will take place.

 

Example: Saturn was transiting over Sagittarius having 4 points in Sagittarius in its own Bhinaashtakavarga. In the prastarashtaka Varga Saturn in Sagittarius sign having points Saturn, Sun, Mercury and Ascendant. So, Saturn will provide auspicious result in Saturn, Sun, Mercury and Ascendant kakshya.

 

3.      When more than one planet’s are transiting the kakshya of the planet that have contributed points / bindus in the respective Ashtakavarga accordingly result may be predicted.

4.      Planet will be signifying result in transit as follow:

a.      As per the Karakatwa of Planets, Sun for Father, Personality, Authority, Government’s, royal favours etc.

b.      As per location from Ascendant at the time of transit e.g., Jupiter in Sagittarius in Mr. Kennedy Chart.

c.      As per the location of kakshya lord’s from natal position from the planets e.g., Saturn is transiting over Sagittarius in the Kakshya of Mercury. Mercury is 10^th from Saturn. Transiting Saturn gives the result of 10^th house of profession.

5.      When Transiting planets and the Kakshya lord are friend’s results are good.

6.      The transiting planet gives good results if its transiting friends sign, own sign, mooltrikona sign or its sign of exaltation.

7.      Dasha: Mahadasha or Antardasha kakshya lord contributing bindu / points in the respective Bhinnashatkavarga in the sign occupied by the lord in the natal chart than dasha will be very good in its entire dasha periods if it’s having more bindu / points.

8.      Dasha lord’s transit: When dasha lord and Kakshya lord both are positive than very good results obtain.

9.      Transit in Bindu / point less planets result:

a.      Saturn: Accident, Disease, Loss of Money, Death, Defame

b.      Jupiter: Expenditure, Mantel agony

c.      Mercury: Disease of nervous system, loss of money, quarrel

Note. When transiting by kakshya having bindu / points auspicious result.
